Job summary

Boot Barn in Lake Jackson, TX seeks an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager in driving customer service, sales, and operations. You will coach associates, manage scheduling, and support local community initiatives while upholding Boot Barn values.

Responsibilities include leading a selling culture, achieving store goals, maintaining merchandise standards, and collaborating with district partners to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree and/or 2 to 4 years of experience in retail store management.
• Experience managing direct reports and leading teams in a selling environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication, customer service, time management and organizational skills.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts to meet business needs including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Flexibility with scheduling and willing to work extended hours when necessary.
• Up to 15% travel to support local stores, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead partners to foster a service & selling culture and exceed overall expectations to build long-standing customer relationships.
• Review goals with partners, providing coaching and feedback, and lead on the sales floor during peak hours.
• Implement and maintain a learning environment; assist with partner training plans to improve performance across operations and merchandising.
• Collaborate with Store Manager to adapt to changing business needs and schedules; support interviewing and hiring; train staff on new policies and procedures.
• Assess localized customer needs and communicate to Store Manager.
• Plan and execute volume-driving events involving outreach to the local community.
