Job summary

The Assistant Store Manager at Lids Sports Group leads daily store operations and delivers exceptional customer service. You will manage merchandise, training, scheduling, and performance to meet sales goals while upholding brand standards and a fun, inclusive team environment.

This role reports to the Store Manager and supports all levels of store performance. Candidates should have retail leadership experience, strong communication, and a proactive approach to loss prevention and inventory

Qualifications

• Leadership experience in retail management and training.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage store operations.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for scheduling issues and customer complaints when the Store Manager is not present.
• Develop and implement staffing plans and training using LIDS programs.
• Administer disciplinary steps with verbal and written warnings when needed.
• Foster a respectful, inclusive team and uphold brand standards.
• Schedule and staff the store, including call-ins for peak periods.
• Recruit and train store personnel on operations and procedures.
• Ensure policy compliance and safeguard inventory and funds.
• Other duties as assigned.
