Job summary

KnitWell Group is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in leading the team, elevating the customer experience, and building community connections in Des Peres, MO. You will foster a welcoming environment, drive sales, and model our brand standards across in-store and omni-channel interactions.

The role requires at least 3 years in retail management, flexibility for nights and weekends, and a collaborative, proactive mindset.

Qualifications

• 3 years of retail management experience preferred.
• Flexible availability — including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• A team player mindset with a high level of ownership and initiative.
• Ability to develop strong customer and peer relationships.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a team to deliver a customer-centered experience.
• Take ownership to achieve the financial goals of the store and motivate the team.
• Assist in the hiring, development, and coaching of associates.
• Lead by example on the sales floor, sharing product knowledge and utilizing an omni-channel approach.
• Maintain a visually inspiring store environment that reflects brand standards.
• Take ownership to ensure safe and efficient store operations including inventory management, daily replenishment of floor merchandise, and execution of inventories.
• Ensure compliance with all policies, guidelines, and business practices.
• Build community connections through in-store company-sponsored events, philanthropy, and other initiatives.
