Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; reading, interpreting directives required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks (standing, walking, bending)
• Strong communication, interpersonal and written skills required
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment
• Exceptional customer service, organizational and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process all corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines; ensure staff follow procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train and develop Store Associates
• Ensure a positive, safe and respectful environment with customers, associates and leaders
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms, floors and trash disposal
• Other duties as assigned
