Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development.

The role involves assisting with daily activities, organizing merchandise, and helping supervise Store Associates to maintain a clean, well-stocked store. Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, processing directives, and ensuring policy compliance while delivering strong customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail or related environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and administrative tasks related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, handling damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Keep store areas neat with a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets including cash; adhere to safety policies.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
• Maintain a safe, respectful environment with professional customer and staff interactions.
• Ensure store cleanliness and restocking of bathrooms, floors, and waste removal.
