Job summary

White House Black Market in Charlotte, NC seeks an Assistant Manager to partner with the Store Manager in leading the team and delivering a premium customer experience. The role focuses on team development, store performance, and building community connections in a welcoming environment.

You will lead by example on the sales floor, oversee inventory and replenishment, and ensure safety and compliance while delivering personalized, memorable service.

Qualifications

• 3 years of retail management experience preferred
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Flexible availability—nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to develop strong customer and peer relationships
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to bend, reach, stretch for products and operate the register

Responsibilities

• Build, lead, and develop a team to deliver a customer-centered experience
• Take ownership to achieve store financial goals and motivate the team
• Assist in hiring, development, and coaching of associates
• Lead by example on the sales floor and use an omni-channel approach
• Maintain a visually inspiring store environment reflecting brand standards
• Ensure safe and efficient store operations including inventory management and daily replenishment
• Ensure compliance with policies and business practices
• Build community connections through in-store events and philanthropy
