Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in a fast-paced retail environment. You will help with daily store activities, merchandise flow, and ensuring policies are followed while building a positive guest experience.

The role emphasizes strong communication, safety, and coaching of Store Associates to maintain efficient, friendly service. This is a part-time position with opportunities for growth and skill development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties (walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, lifting).
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Assist in organizing merchandise and maintaining seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise and handling losses.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom.
• Protect company assets including cash and store property.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Keep bathrooms and store areas clean and presentable.
• Other duties as assigned.
