Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. This part-time role emphasizes hands-on leadership, merchandising, and staff training in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will assist with daily tasks, ensure excellent customer experiences, handle merchandise flow from delivery to floor, and contribute to payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention. A strong team player with communication skills is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to read and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail or similar environments preferred.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks as needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Excellent customer service, organizational, and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers and address questions or concerns in a positive manner.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives, maintain displays, and support store operations.
• Assist in ordering, processing damaged goods, payroll and scheduling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect store assets, including cash, and follow policies and safety guidelines.
• Support Store Manager in training and developing Associates.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
