Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will help with daily activities and supervise store associates to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming shopping environment.

The role focuses on customer service, merchandising, and adherence to company policies while promoting a safe, positive atmosphere for customers and team members in a part-time schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional displays and fixtures for storefronts.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Keep store areas well-stocked, organized, and secure assets.
