Job summary

Lidl US in Cary, NC is seeking a Shift Lead to help run daily store operations. You will work across departments, assist customers, stock and maintain clean spaces, and support the store team in bakery, produce, and promotions.

The role demands flexibility with early and late shifts, ability to lift heavy items, and strong communication. Starting pay is $18.50 per hour, plus benefits and a company discount; previous retail supervisory experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years or older.
• Ability to lift, move, carry, or slide product over 50 pounds.
• Ability to reach above head to heights greater than 10 inches.
• Flexible to start a 5am shift or finish at 11pm, including weekends.
• Positive attitude in face of changing priorities.
• Friendly communication style with team and customers.
• Drive to work hard in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Run assigned shifts in the absence of Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager; ensure smooth operations.
• Unpack stock as deliveries arrive; maintain quick pace.
• Provide excellent customer service on registers and store-wide; help customers locate items.
• Keep store clean and organized from parking lot to breakroom and warehouse.
• Learn and perform tasks in bakery, produce, and weekly promos.
• Communicate clearly with management and colleagues to complete tasks as a team.
