Job summary

Walgreens in Rutherfordton, NC is seeking a store operations associate to assist with opening/closing, cash handling, and customer service. You will help ensure stockroom readiness, support backdoor deliveries, and manage basic register tasks for a busy retail floor.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of leadership experience, strong English communication, and the ability to work independently when management is not present.

Qualifications

• One year of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store in the absence of management, including cash handling and ensuring floor and stock room are ready for business.
• Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change as requested to cash registers.
• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
• Models and shares customer service best practices with team members to deliver a distinctive customer experience.
• Responsible for holding store keys to open and close without management as necessary.
• Assists with and coaches other team members in warehouse and vendor ordering processes and backdoor deliveries.
