Job summary

Walgreens Co. is looking for a store associate who will open and close the store in the absence of management, manage essential cash handling and system start-ups, and ensure flooring and stock areas are ready for the business day.

You will engage customers, resolve issues, and provide a friendly shopping experience while maintaining inventory accuracy and set pricing. The role emphasizes teamwork and delivering Walgreens service traits across shifts.

Qualifications

• One year of prior leadership, supervisory, or retail key holder work experience.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Obtains and maintains valid PTCB certification or pharmacy license as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Opens and closes the store when management is absent, handles required systems start-ups and cash handling, and prepares floor and stock room for the day.
• Completes product returns, order voids, customer refunds, cash drops to the safe, and provides change at registers.
• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Engages customers by greeting and assisting with products/services, resolving issues, and ensuring positive experiences.
• Maintains accurate inventory and pricing, supports displays and promos, and cooperates with backroom operations.
