Responsibilities include using loss prevention tools to identify theft, apprehending suspects when necessary, and participating in investigations. The role requires physical stamina and strong teamwork, with emphasis on safety and policy compliance.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, speak English.
• Stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Regularly lift 25 lbs. and occasionally 50 lbs.
• Travel to various store locations, if applicable.
• Interact with customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Work cooperatively with others and comply with attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Loss Prevention reporting systems (e.g., Lane Hawk, Smart Store) to identify and minimize loss.
• Detect and apprehend individuals for theft in a professional manner per policy and law.
• Represent ShopRite in criminal actions resulting from apprehensions.
• Participate in special investigations when assigned.
• Notify management of vulnerabilities and provide recommendations to improve store security.
• Maintain security standards and observe store policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean, safe work/shopping environment.
