Job summary

ShopRite of Glenolden in Glenolden, PA seeks a Loss Prevention Associate to protect assets and ensure a safe shopping environment. You will detect theft, monitor CCTV, and support store operations while delivering friendly customer service.

The role requires the ability to stand for long shifts, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying temperatures, with a focus on safety and policy adherence.

Qualifications

• Must read, write, speak English proficiently.
• Able to stand/walk for the duration of a scheduled shift.
• Able to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs., and occasionally lift 50 lbs.
• Able to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during routine housekeeping duties.
• Able to work in varying temperatures.
• Able to travel to various store locations, if applicable.
• Able to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way.
• Ability to work cooperatively with others.
• Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with time and attendance policies.

Responsibilities

• Utilize Loss Prevention reporting and applications (Lane Hawk, Smart Store) to identify and minimize potential loss and shrink.
• Detect and apprehend Customers, Associates, and Vendors for theft in a professional manner per policy and legal requirements.
• Represent the Company in criminal actions as result of apprehensions.
• Participate in special investigations when assigned.
• Bring loss vulnerabilities and recommendations to Store Management and Loss Prevention Specialist.
• Maintain knowledge of departmental procedures to detect policy violations.
• Observe security standards and report abnormal customer behavior to Store Management.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work/shopping environment.
