Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to ensure a safe and secure store environment. You will provide a visible presence, greet customers, and monitor for theft indicators while partnering with leadership to minimize shortages.

A successful candidate has retail supervisory experience, security training, and strong communication skills. The role emphasizes professionalism, adherence to policy, and teamwork with store staff to maintain Ross brand standards and a positive shopping

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including but not limited to, additional background screening, physical examination, fingerprinting and/or drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers.
• Provides visible presence and friendly greetings at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Monitors for potential theft indicators and communicates with Store Leadership.
• Partners with Store Leadership to ensure compliance with Loss Prevention directives.
• Supports initiatives to minimize operational shortage and educate Associates on shortage reduction.
• Represents the Ross brand with professional appearance and conduct.
