Job summary

Little General Store Inc. is seeking a Customer Service Representative to be the primary contact with customers, handle sales, and help keep the store stocked and safe. Position can be Full Time or Part Time and requires English literacy and the ability to operate a cash register and loyalty programs.

The role includes upselling, adhering to state laws on lottery, alcohol and tobacco, monitoring security, and assisting in daily store operations to ensure a positive customer experience.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and maintain a friendly, professional image.
• Upsell related products when appropriate.
• Assist customers in locating products and provide accurate information.
• Record all sales at the cash register and process payments with correct change.
• Understand and follow all payment systems and transaction procedures.
• Follow state laws regarding lottery, alcohol and tobacco sales.
• Promote enrollment in loyalty programs (Plenti, BP, etc.).
• Monitor store security and report suspicious activity to the manager on duty.
• Stock shelves and coolers; ensure pricing is correct and products are available.
• Maintain sanitary conditions and participate in store cleaning and safety protocols.
• Complete daily shift reports and adhere to company policies.
