Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Sales Manager for the KC-OLATHE, KS area. You will lead a high-performing team, drive strong sales and create an engaging customer experience across front-end, service, and store operations.

You will coach staff to uphold brand standards, manage day-to-day execution, and contribute to omni-channel initiatives including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery, while supporting loyalty programs and store events.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and early mornings.
• Able to stand for long periods of time and move throughout the store.
• Able to lift, carry, push and pull merchandise and fixtures up to 25–50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading adherence to SOPs and Company programs.
• Ensure execution of policies and standards; hold team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Coach and model Customer Experience and selling behaviors to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage; maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout operations for smooth transactions.
• Oversee balloons, birthday party operations, and in-store programs.
