Job summary

Michaels Stores seeks an experienced Sales Manager to lead front-end and service operations, driving sales and delivering an engaging customer experience. You will coach associates, oversee POS and Self-Checkout, and ensure adherence to brand standards and SOPs across the store.

You will manage MOD coverage, support key in-store programs, and champion loyalty enrollment while maintaining strong asset protection practices in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead front-end and service operations, ensuring consistent selling behaviors and brand standards.
• Coach and develop team members to achieve sales and service KPIs through customer-focused coaching.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership, service standards, and operational continuity.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout efficiency and accuracy for smooth transactions.
• Drive omni-channel service with BOPIS and Same Day Delivery; support Custom Framing and Knit & Sew Shop operations as needed.
• Promote Loyalty Rewards Program and protection plans to increase retention and add-on sales.
• Train, mentor, and develop staff through structured onboarding and ongoing skill-building across departments.
• Support Asset Protection practices to reduce shrink and safeguard assets.
