Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Stores Sales Manager for our Indy Castleton location to lead a high-performing team and deliver strong sales while ensuring an engaging customer experience.

You will supervise front-end/service operations, coach on selling behaviors, and support omni-channel initiatives. This full-time, on-site role requires 3+ years of retail leadership and a passion for coaching teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading and managing adherence to SOPs and Company programs for compliance.
• Ensure execution of Company policies and standards, holding team accountable.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and selling behaviors to improve conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout usage to support transactions and customer service.
• Oversee in-store programs and events (e.g., Balloons, birthday parties).
• Promote and enroll customers in Loyalty Rewards Program to drive retention.
• Drive sales and operational excellence in Knit & Sew Shop and Cut Bar experience.
• Ensure efficient execution of BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.
• Support Custom Framing operations with customer consultations when applicable.
• Train, coach, and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skills.
• Partner in Asset Protection to reduce shrink and ensure safe operations.
