Job Description

Citi Trends is seeking a dedicated Store Sales Associate to join our team at one of the largest chains in the value-priced urban apparel industry. We are growing, offering an excellent opportunity for those looking to lead the way.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Processing freight
2. Assisting with price changes and markdowns
3. Balancing registers according to company policy
4. Calling out prices for customers during transactions
5. Bags merchandise efficiently upon transaction completion
6. Handling cash, checks, and credit cards correctly and according to policy
7. Obtaining management approval for returns, voids, and checks when needed
8. Performing maintenance and housekeeping duties as assigned
9. Providing customer service, including greeting, fitting room policies, timely ringing, thanking customers, and inviting them to return
10. Following all safety procedures
11. Maintaining a professional, neat appearance with a name tag
12. Assisting management with merchandising and stock level management
13. Supporting management with tasks per company policy
14. Explaining exchange and refund policies to customers
15. Assisting with Loss Prevention procedures, including preventing shoplifting and cash losses, reporting theft or dishonesty, and following operational policies

Job Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
• Proficiency in mathematical calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
