Position Description

As a Sales Associate/Cashier at Maplefields, you will be the front line in our relationship with our customer. Throughout your shift, you will be responsible for cashing out customers, assisting customers through the self-checkout process, and performing various tasks to ensure the store is well maintained, fully stocked, and ready to satisfy every customer. You will also be responsible for properly monitoring and completing age-restricted sales.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Greet all customers visiting your location in a timely and professional manner
• Multitask effectively and manage time efficiently
• Operate the cash register, accept various payments, make change, and maintain proper cash levels. Learn to close the register properly at shift end.
• Ensure coffee is always full and hot, and maintain a clean coffee bar
• Stock and maintain product levels
• Maintain and improve store appearance
• Keep the register area clean and free of trash and clutter
• Complete shift tasks as assigned by management and handle unexpected tasks as needed
• Perform general property maintenance (sweeping, weeding, shoveling, salting)
• Rotate stock to maintain freshness (sell older stock first)
• Operate a lottery terminal
• Ensure all store close reports are printed and filed
• Prepare the store for busy periods like morning coffee, lunch, and afternoon rushes
• Complete cleaning and stocking duties, especially during busy hours

Availability
