Position Description

As a Sales Associate/Cashier at Maplefields, you will be the front line in our relationship with our customer. Throughout your shift, you will be responsible for cashing out customers, assisting customers through the self-checkout process, and ensuring the store is well kept, fully stocked, and ready to satisfy every customer. You will also be responsible for properly monitoring and completing age-restricted sales.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Greet all customers visiting your location in a timely and professional manner
• Multitask and manage time effectively
• Operate cash register, accept various payments, make change, and maintain proper cash levels. Learn to count down and properly close a register at the end of a shift.
• Maintain a clean coffee bar, ensuring coffee is always full and hot
• Stock and maintain product levels
• Seek ways to improve store appearance
• Keep register area clean and free of trash and clutter
• Complete shift tasks provided by management and handle unexpected tasks as needed
• Perform property maintenance such as sweeping, weeding, shoveling, and salting
• Rotate stock to maintain freshness
• Operate a lottery terminal
• Ensure all store close reports are printed and filed
• Prepare the store for busy periods like the morning coffee/breakfast rush and lunch/afternoon rush, depending on shifts
• Complete cleaning and stocking duties during busy hours

Availability

Shifts vary by location and are based on the store's business needs. Your manager will work with you to find a schedule that fits your desired hours. Schedules are flexible and should be discussed with your manager.
