Job summary

Ross Stores, Inc. is seeking a Loss Prevention Specialist to maintain a visible presence at store entrances/exits, deter theft, and safeguard customers and Associates. You will work with Store Leadership to enforce safety and Loss Prevention policies while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required, AA degree preferred.
• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must comply with all laws and background checks for security positions.

Responsibilities

• Maintains a visible presence at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor to deter theft.
• Partners with Store Leadership to ensure compliance with Loss Prevention directives.
• Walks the sales floor to identify theft indicators and address them as directed.
• Gathers theft indicators and communicates with Leadership to minimize shortages.
• Represents the Ross brand with professionalism and safety in mind.
• Provides great customer service by greeting Customers and answering questions.
• Maintains proper checkout procedures and trains Associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
• Other duties as assigned to support Loss Prevention.
