Job summary

Ross Stores is hiring a Loss Prevention Specialist to promote a safe, secure store environment while delivering excellent customer service. You will monitor entrances, deter theft, and collaborate with leadership to minimize shrink and protect assets.

The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and adherence to company policies, with a focus on maintaining brand integrity across busy retail floors and multiple departments.

Qualifications

• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.
• Must be able to comply with all applicable federal and state laws and regulations for security positions, including but not limited to, additional background screening, physical examination, fingerprinting and/or drug and alcohol testing.
• High School education or equivalent required, AA degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and secure environment for Associates and Customers.
• Provide visible "command" presence at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor.
• Monitor Code 50 package inspection policy and adherence to Loss Prevention directives.
• Address potential theft indicators and partner with Store Leadership to minimize shortage.
• Support Loss Prevention initiatives and store brand integrity.
• Foster teamwork and professional conduct within the store team.
