Job summary

Ross Stores is seeking a dedicated Loss Prevention Specialist to protect people, products, and the Ross treasure. You will patrol entrances, monitor for theft indicators, greet customers, and collaborate with store leadership to enforce safety and shrink reduction initiatives.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment, and compliance with all security policies and training.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent required, AA degree preferred.
• One year retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with the Store team.
• Excellent Customer service skills.
• Proven ability to effectively resolve conflict.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a visible presence at store entrances/exits and on the sales floor to deter theft and ensure a safe environment.
• Greet customers and colleagues, monitor for safety issues, and assist in enforcing policies.
• Collaborate with Store Leadership to minimize shortages and support Loss Prevention initiatives.
• Represent the Ross brand with professional appearance and conduct.
• Monitor theft indicators and communicate findings to Loss Prevention leadership.
• Provide training and guidance to Associates on shortage reduction initiatives.
