Safeway in Pullman, WA is seeking a Person In Charge (PIC) to deliver outstanding customer service and oversee store operations in the absence of management. You will supervise front-end staff, assist customers, operate the register, and ensure efficient, safe store performance.

Responsibilities include handling emergencies, coaching cashiers, maintaining policies, stocking displays, and supporting day-end tasks.

Formación

• Ability to follow company customer service procedures and interact with customers.
• Ability to interact with customers and co-workers.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions.
• Knowledge of all positions within the store.
• Ability to work independently.
• Desired: Prior experience as a clerk or manager.

Responsabilidades

• Provide customer service as defined by the employer within company policy.
• Supervise store personnel and handle emergencies.
• Monitor service and replenishment of products on the sales floor.
• Operate cash register and total customers’ final bill.
• Receive payment and count back change.
• May assist with close of day functions and stock counts.
