Job summary

Roses/Roses Express is seeking motivated individuals to support our Stores by providing essential products and great value to the communities we serve. As an Assistant Manager/Key Carrier, you will deliver excellent customer service and aid the Store Manager with overall store operations to meet company goals.

You will help hire, train, and develop team members, handle daily store activities, and perform opening/closing when the Store Manager is away.

Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift, bend and transport merchandise weighing up to 50lbs; frequent walking and standing.
• Ability to work in a high energy, team environment.
• Flexible, full-time or part-time schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring, training and developing store team members as delegated by the Store Manager.
• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers and teammates.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
• Direct hourly Team Members when Store Manager is not on the premises.
• Process SSC Corporate directives.
• Assist in receiving and returns of DSD merchandise.
• Manage freight flow and stock replenishment.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards.
• Order and stock merchandise as needed.
• Maintain stockroom organization and sales floor readiness.
