Job summary

Playa Bowls, LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager to support daily operations and create a vibrant, welcoming environment for guests and team members at our location. You will work closely with the General Manager to train staff, resolve operational challenges, and ensure top-quality service and product execution.

The role emphasizes supervision, customer care, inventory control, and adherence to brand standards, with a focus on teamwork, growth, and delivering a fun, engaging guest experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a fast-paced food service or retail environment.
• A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• A collaborative, team-first mindset with a willingness to jump in wherever needed
• Strong customer service skills and a passion for creating positive guest experiences
• Working knowledge of supply chain and inventory processes
• Familiarity with personnel management and basic human resources responsibilities
• Excellent communication and active listening skills to effectively support and lead a diverse team
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• And most importantly… a positive attitude and a great sense of FUN!

Responsibilities

• Check products to ensure consistency, palatability, and quality
• Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, and accommodations
• Schedule and receive food and beverage deliveries, checking contents for quality and quantity
• Monitor food preparation, portions, garnishing and presentation to standards
• Schedule staff hours using systems and assign duties for efficient operations
• Review procedures to improve service, performance or safety
• Fill in for General Manager as needed and maintain records
