Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a proactive Store Manager to support store operations and drive financial and sales goals. You will lead, train and develop associates, ensuring adherence to safety, food safety, and cash controls while maintaining high standards of customer service.

Key duties include managing performance, coaching, and serving as Manager on Duty as needed, with a focus on delivering fast, friendly service and achieving budget targets across departments.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Desire and ability to lead and manage associates across departments.
• Ability to meet physical requirements and age requirements.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for hiring, training, and developing associates.
• Manage performance through coaching, appraisal and disciplinary efforts.
• Provide leadership and motivation to promote a culture reflecting our Guiding Principles, Core Values, Vision and Strategy.
• Maintain an atmosphere of enthusiastic customer awareness with emphasis on fast and easy service.
• Ensure proper control of all store funds and assets.
• Observe and correct unsafe conditions and ensure food safety standards.
• Utilize company tools such as ACIS, CAO, scheduling and reporting systems.
• Support achievement of store budgeted financial and operating results.
• Serve as Manager on Duty when the Store Manager is absent.
• Assist the Store Manager with day-to-day operations of the store.
