Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods in the United States is seeking a Team Captain of Off Field Operations to drive inventory, fulfillment, and stockroom execution. You will coach teammates and lead store performance, ensuring processes run efficiently and the store remains athlete-ready.

You will increase collaboration with store management, develop staffing plans, and uphold safety, loss prevention, and store standards while delivering outstanding customer service and experiences.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience.
• Previous retail/customer-facing experience required.
• Previous people leadership experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding athlete experiences by anticipating athlete needs and providing clear, accurate, and knowledgeable information about products and assortment.
• Together with the SM and ASM, contribute to the development of 30-60-90 day plans to support business priorities for assigned department(s). Help establish working plans related to operational initiatives, staffing, hiring needs, operational and merchandising sets, etc.
• Daily/weekly, communicate departmental goals and plans to direct reports and assign workload based on skill levels to maximize efficiencies.
• Build and lead a strong, effective team that successfully delivers positive athlete experiences. Includes taking the lead on sourcing, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retaining appropriate number of direct reports in area(s) of oversight.
• Adhere to and enforce established policies and procedures related to safety, loss prevention and standard operating procedures, as well as to laws/guidelines of external governing entities.
