Job summary

Loma Square is seeking an Assistant General/Store Manager in San Diego to support the Store Manager in driving sales, controlling labor and food costs, and ensuring guest satisfaction. You will supervise staff, oversee scheduling, training, and inventory, while maintaining safety and quality standards.

This role emphasizes working on the front line as a working manager, developing the team, and ensuring consistent operations aligned with brand guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; degree is a plus.
• Experience coaching and developing teams in a retail setting.
• Availability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Minimum 1 year of experience as Shift Manager or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Manager in achieving sales, labor, and food cost targets.
• Supervise and direct staff; staffing decisions with DM/HR/President input.
• Ensure guest satisfaction, product quality, and safety standards.
• Conduct training and onboarding for new and existing staff.
• Monitor inventory, labor budgets, and cash handling accuracy.
• Recruit and hire staff; schedule bi-weekly shifts.
• Enforce policies, dress code, and safety procedures.
• Collaborate on promotional, marketing, and cost-control activities.
