J.Crew Factory is seeking a Store Operations Manager in New York, NY to optimize store systems, improve operational processes, and lead the Retail Help Desk. The role oversees critical supply and packaging programs, budgets, and cross-functional partnerships with IT and finance.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in high-volume retail ops, strong communication, and experience guiding teams and vendors through systems enhancements and process changes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in retail store operations.
• Proven track record of improving store processes and driving adoption.
• Experience with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver software enhancements.
• Knowledge of retail POS, store systems and hardware.
• Experience leading a team and managing third‑party providers.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Find friction in store operations and create scalable solutions.
• Own the enhancement roadmap for store systems and prioritize backlog.
• Lead in-store hardware strategy from evaluation to rollout.
• Manage Retail Help Desk Levels 1 and 2 and SLAs.
• Own escalation path and drive root-cause solutions.
• Standardize policy docs and write store communications.
• Oversee supplies and packaging vendors end-to-end, including procurement.
• Forecast budgets and seasonal supply drops; manage spend to budget.
• Collaborate with AP, Accounting and Procurement on invoicing and cost savings.
