Chico’s FAS, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the store manager in achieving sales, operations, and profit goals.

You will lead a team to deliver exceptional customer service, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with policies across daily operations. The role requires experience in retail management, strong communication skills, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or equivalent not required; High School diploma or equivalent is needed.
• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Minimum 3 years prior retail or sales management experience preferred.
• Excellent communication, verbal and written skills.
• Able to travel to stores throughout the district.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations.
• Regular attendance is essential to this position.
• Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepares weekly schedules to ensure floor coverage within fiscal guidelines and reviews payroll documentation.
• Promotes customer service by greeting and assisting customers and handling inquiries/responding to complaints.
• Supervises sales staff, inventory receipt, cash handling, and customer service activities.
• Models sales techniques and helps customers locate merchandise and make recommendations.
• Maintains a visually appealing store and ensures high standards of housekeeping and merchandising.
• Trains associates on visual merchandising and standards of presentation.
• Monitors sales activity and delivers coaching to achieve performance goals.
• Manages cash handling, price changes, and merchandise handling per policy.
• Oversees inventory receipt/dispatch, replenishment, and physical inventories.
• Ensures store operations run safely and efficiently and supports loss prevention controls.
• Participates in recruiting, hiring, and development of store associates and provides performance feedback.
• Other duties as assigned.
