Job summary

Grocery Outlet is seeking a Project Manager – Store Operations to lead the execution of Store Operations initiatives, translating priorities into clear project plans and coordinating across teams.

You will partner with the EVP, Chief Store Operations Officer, and cross‑functional partners to provide visibility on priorities, manage risks, and ensure timely delivery from planning through implementation, with updates to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience managing projects, cross-functional initiatives, or operational programs in a retail, grocery, multi-unit, corporate operations, or similarly fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing projects from planning through implementation, including developing project plans, managing timelines and deliverables, tracking dependencies, identifying risks, and coordinating cross-functional teams.
• Strong business acumen with an understanding of how corporate initiatives translate into field or store execution.
• Retail, grocery, multi-unit operations, or other field-based operating experience strongly preferred.
• Experience supporting senior leaders and preparing clear, concise presentations, status updates, and other materials for leadership audiences.
• Strong organizational skills and follow-through, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to create structure and clarity in ambiguous or evolving situations and adjust quickly as business priorities change.
• Proficiency with project management methodologies or tools (Asana, Smartsheet, MS Project, etc.).
• Project management certification, such as PMP, is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans, milestones, and track dependencies for Store Operations initiatives.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving Store Operations, Purchasing & Merchandising, Marketing, and other teams.
• Prepare agendas, updates, executive briefings, dashboards, and decision documents for senior leaders.
• Maintain action logs, risk registers, and project dashboards to reinforce accountability.
• Support implementation and launch readiness for initiatives impacting stores and Operators.
• Identify implementation requirements and translate priorities into practical field-ready plans.
• Manage timelines, owners, and deliverables to ensure on-schedule execution.
