Job summary

Grocery Outlet is seeking a Project Manager, Purchasing & Merchandising, to partner with the Chief Purchasing & Merchandising Officer and senior leadership. You will drive the department's operating rhythm, manage a portfolio of strategic initiatives, and ensure timely decisions with clear ownership and accountability.

You will coordinate across Purchasing, Merchandising, Operations, Finance, Marketing, Technology, and other functions to keep work advancing, mitigate risks, and deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business, operations, merchandising, or related field.
• Typically 5+ years managing complex, cross-functional initiatives or program management.
• Experience supporting senior executives in fast-paced environments.
• Strong planning, meeting facilitation, and decision-tracking abilities.
• Ability to develop agendas, update executives, and drive accountability across stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage holistic portfolio view of Purchasing & Merchandising priorities and projects.
• Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and status reports.
• Define objectives, ownership, timelines, and success measures with initiative owners.
• Coordinate with Enterprise Transformation to align department priorities with enterprise plans.
• Lead cross-functional coordination across Store Ops, Finance, Marketing, Tech, and Supply Chain.
• Create and manage department calendars, leadership meetings, and strategic planning sessions.
• Prepare executive briefings, updates, dashboards, and decision documents.
