Job summary

Grocery Outlet Inc. is seeking a Project Manager – Store Operations in Emeryville, CA.

You will lead key Store Operations initiatives, translating priorities into clear project plans, coordinating cross-functional teams, and driving execution from planning through implementation. You will report to the EVP - Chief Store Operations Officer and partner with the Enterprise Transformation Office to align initiatives with enterprise priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Project Management, Retail Management, or a related field preferred or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience managing projects, cross-functional initiatives, or operational programs in a retail, grocery, multi-unit, or similar fast-paced environment.
• Experience managing projects from planning through implementation with clear milestones, timelines, and deliverables.
• Strong business acumen and ability to translate corporate initiatives into field execution.
• Experience preparing concise presentations and status updates for senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Develop project plans, establish milestones, coordinate deliverables, and track dependencies.
• Align Store Operations initiatives with enterprise priorities and governance.
• Coordinate cross-functional initiatives across multiple teams including Marketing, Finance, HR, and Technology.
• Support implementation, training, and readiness for store and operator initiatives.
• Create workplans, timelines, owners, milestones, and deliverables for effective execution.
• Maintain project dashboards, risk registers, and meeting summaries to ensure accountability.
• Prepare executive updates and decision documents for senior leaders.
