Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a Store Manager to lead daily store operations, supervise staff, and ensure excellent customer service. You will manage staffing, training, inventory, pricing, and safety compliance while driving sales and profitability.

The role requires strong leadership, cash handling experience and the ability to meet company standards. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities for advancement across our store network.

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting documents and safety rules.
• Mathematical calculations including percentages and figures.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Experience with IBM cash registers and inventory management.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understanding of recruiting, hiring and training practices including compliance.
• Spanish-speaking ability may be preferred at some locations.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees per laws and policies.
• Provide training and evaluate performance; address gaps.
• Recommend pay and advancement decisions.
• Communicate performance and safety expectations; conduct meetings.
• Open/close store as needed, ensure proper staffing.
• Analyze sales and inventory trends; manage expenses and shrink.
• Ensure proper stocking, pricing, and signage; maintain display standards.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and cash controls.
