Job summary

PetSmart's Retail Operations Lead is responsible for driving operational excellence in our stores, including merchandising, inventory management, and pet care operations. You will open/close the store, oversee associates, and maintain a safe, organized environment while delivering a great experience for pet parents.

The role requires 2+ years of retail supervisory experience, full-time availability including evenings and weekends, and proficiency with POS systems and basic computer applications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Full-time availability; evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency in computer applications; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide associates in merchandising, inventory, and store presentation.
• Oversee store opening/closing and daily tasks; supervise as acting leader when needed.
• Maintain accurate inventory; conduct cycle counts and audits; report discrepancies.
• Ensure POS accuracy, cash handling, and adherence to policies and procedures.
• Support associate development, onboarding, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Deliver a safe, clean, and engaging store environment for pet parents and pets.
