Job summary

PetSmart’s Process Lead (Retail Operations Lead) has shared responsibility to drive operational excellence in our stores while upholding the company’s vision, mission, values, and strategy. This role is responsible for merchandising and inventory management, pet care operations, opening and/or closing the store, overseeing associates, and maintaining a safe and organized environment.

This position requires 2+ years of retail supervisory experience with strong leadership skills, and a commitment

Qualifications

• 2+ years of retail supervisory experience.
• Full-time availability; evenings, weekends, holidays as needed.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to visual store quality.

Responsibilities

• Support and guide sales associates with training on product knowledge and presentation.
• Develop associates through onboarding, mentoring, coaching and performance feedback.
• Delegate and validate daily task completion.
• Lead when on duty; supervise associates and address concerns.
• Ensure merchandising, inventory management, stock replenishment, and displays.
• Operate POS systems and handle cash; ensure policy compliance.
• Maintain store standards and uphold Policies, Procedures, and Code of Ethics.
• Coordinate opening/closing procedures and perform monthly cycle counts.
• Ensure pet care standards and safe handling of pets.
• Oversee online order pickup/ship from store experiences.
