Job summary

Dollar General Corporation is seeking a store leadership role responsible for managing all employees and store processes. You will oversee staffing, training, performance evaluations, and adherence to policies while driving sales, inventory control, and customer satisfaction.

The role requires strong leadership, cash handling and coaching skills to maintain high standards of operation. You will ensure proper opening/closing, safety, and daily execution across merchandising and pricing.

Qualifications

• Experience recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination practices.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of cash handling, cashier accountability and deposits.
• Experience with inventory management and merchandising.
• Retail leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects and retains qualified employees per laws and company policy; ensures staffing.
• Provides training; conducts evaluations; identifies gaps for coaching or termination decisions.
• Recommends pay rate adjustments and career progression.
• Communicates safety, performance, and policy expectations; leads team meetings and events.
• Ensures daily store opening/closing routines and staffing coverage.
• Evaluates store performance trends and identifies opportunities for cost control and efficiency.
• Oversees stock planning, replenishment, and weekly ordering with BSR checks.
• Maintains proper presentation, pricing, and signage on the floor.
• Keeps inventory accurate by monitoring damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Upholds cash control procedures and security policies in all cash handling steps.
• Delivers superior customer service leadership and a safe store environment.
• Ensures tools and fixtures are available and in good condition.
• Follows SOPs, employee handbook and company communications; ensures compliance.
• Completes all required paperwork on time.
