Job summary

Belk is seeking an Operations Team Associate to drive sales and deliver a positive customer experience by processing inbound truck deliveries and preparing merchandise for the floor. The role involves outbound merchandising tasks, facilities support, and back-of-house organization, with a strong emphasis on customer service and teamwork.

You will unload deliveries, participate in floor sets, tagging, RFID tasks, and assist with promotions while ensuring safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience or aptitude.
• Ability to take ownership of tasks and meet store objectives.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Comfortable using smartphones/tablets and Windows-based systems.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to move around store areas and lift at least 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Unload cartons from truck deliveries and prepare merchandise for sales floor.
• Assist with floor sets, price changes, and product presentations.
• Support inventory accuracy with tagging, transfers, and RFID tasks.
• Help with facilities tasks including lighting, maintenance, and housekeeping.
• Provide excellent customer service and assist customers during peak periods.
• Maintain organization of tools, supplies, and back-of-house areas.
• Follow safety and asset protection procedures to minimize risk.
