Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store management professional to lead all store processes, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and presentation. You will recruit, train, evaluate, and counsel employees, ensure staffing, cash handling, and safety compliance, and drive sales through effective merchandising and stock management.

The role requires hands-on leadership in a fast-paced retail environment with strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, safety rules and procedures.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures including deposits.
• Experience with cash register functions and reporting.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Understand recruiting, interviewing and termination practices.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains staff according to laws and policies.
• Provides training; conducts performance evaluations; counseling up to termination.
• Maintains cashier accountability and store security practices.
• Ensures staffing levels; opens/closes store per schedule.
• Monitors store performance and inventory, including stock replenishment.
• Directs proper merchandising, pricing, and signage.
• Maintains accurate inventory and safe working environment.
• Completes paperwork and documentation on time.
