Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of management experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Knowledge of federal and state labor laws.
• Strong leadership and staff development skills.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees and ensure proper staffing.
• Provide training, conduct evaluations, and counsel up to termination.
• Make recommendations regarding pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; enforce policies.
• Open and close the store daily; manage staffing and store opening/closing.
• Evaluate operating statements and inventory to identify trends and opportunities.
• Review ordering plans and inventory issues; manage replenishment and counts.
• Ensure merchandise presentation and pricing aligns with standards.
• Maintain cash controls and store security procedures.
• Deliver superior customer service leadership.
