Job summary

You will plan and implement store processes, manage inventory and expenses, ensure compliance with policies, and provide strong leadership to a diverse team in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret diagrams, safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations including percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and cashier accountability.
• Familiarity with cash register operations and report generation.
• Understanding of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring and termination practices.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to laws and company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide training and performance evaluations; address gaps and counsel or terminate as needed.
• Make recommendations regarding pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events.
• Ensure proper opening and closing procedures and staffing.
