Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedures manuals.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including percentages.
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Knowledge of cash register functions to generate reports.
• Knowledge of inventory management and merchandising practices.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling and termination practices including legal compliance.
• Knowledge of cash, facility and safety control policies.

Responsibilities

• Recruits, selects, and retains qualified employees and ensures store is properly staffed.
• Provides training, conducts performance evaluations, and counsels staff as needed.
• Communicates performance and safety expectations; coordinates staff meetings.
• Maintains appropriate staffing for opening and closing each day.
• Analyzes store financials, trends, expenses, and shrink.
• Manages ordering and replenishment to meet in-stock targets.
• Facilitates merchandise staging, stocking, and presentation per company standards.
• Ensures accuracy of inventory and cash controls.
• Delivers superior customer service leadership and maintains a clean, safe store environment.
• Adheres to company policies and completes documentation on time.
