Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the general manager in daily store operations, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures while leading hourly staff and maintaining cash handling, inventory, and store standards.

The role includes banking, invoicing, payroll, and other admin tasks, participation in promotions, and maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment. Flexibility in hours is required.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work flexible hours that may include day, nights, weekends and/ or holidays.
• 1-2 years supervisory experience.
• Ability to communicate, count, read, and write accurately.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Ability to work in intermittent temperatures, e.g., outside, cooler, etc.
• Ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladder/stairs and lift up to 25lbs.
• Ability to access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area.

Responsibilities

• Complete required daily accounting paperwork and transmit by deadline.
• Supervise, develop, train and discipline non-exempt employees, holding them accountable for upholding operational standards.
• Monitors shift cash handling and inventory; assists in investigations of shortages/overages and inventory variations.
• Maintains business records, review cashier accountability sheets and records prescribed by the GM or Territory Manager.
• Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and other administrative duties per cash control policies.
• Manage cash management procedures including bank deposits and change orders.
• Maintain Grand Opening Ready Standards and store image.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation; ensure store is secure and safe; report issues to management.
