Job summary

Global Partners LP is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to assist the general manager in daily store operations, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. The ASM will support staff, monitor cash handling, and help maintain inventory while upholding brand standards.

The role focuses on supervising hourly employees, driving guest service, and executing administrative duties to keep the store running smoothly and safely in a dynamic retail environment.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work flexible hours that may include day, nights, weekends and or holidays.
• 1-2 years supervisory experience.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Ability to communicate, count, read, and write accurately.
• Ability to perform basic computer functions.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Ability to work in intermittent temperatures, i.e., outside, cooler, etc.
• Ability to reach, bend, twist, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb ladder/stairs and lift up to 25lbs during a shift.
• Ability to freely access all areas of the store including selling floor, stock area, and register area.
• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• Vocational or Technical Education High School Diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Complete required daily accounting paperwork and transmit by deadline.
• Supervise, develop, train and discipline non-exempt employees, holding them accountable for upholding operational standards.
• Monitors shift cash handling and inventory; assists in investigations of shortages/overages of $100 per month or less as well as inventory variations of .5% of sales or less.
• Maintains business records, review cashier accountability sheets and records prescribed by the General Manager and Territory Manager.
• Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and/or other administrative duties as requested, adhering to all cash control policies.
• Manage cash management procedures including bank deposits and change orders.
• Maintain Grand Opening Ready Standards – According to store image standards.
• Maintains high levels of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensures store is secure and safe; complies with all safety and environmental guidelines.
• Ensure adequate gasoline levels and coordinate gasoline deliveries.
• Engage in all company promotional initiatives.
• Promotes a high level of guest service.
• Perform duties as required by company policies and procedures.
