Job summary

DICK'S Sporting Goods is seeking a Store Leader to drive store operations and deliver exceptional athlete experiences. You will partner with the Store Manager to forecast business needs, lead Captains and the store team, and ensure execution of merchandising standards and customer service excellence.

You will also train and coach staff, manage payroll and scheduling to align with budgets, and hire exceptional teammates while upholding safety and company policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1-3 years experience.
• 1-3 of retail management experience (or customer-focused experience).

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Store Manager to develop and execute annual business growth plans and forecast 90+ days out.
• Directly manages Captains (Supervisors) and coaches broader store team to achieve high performance and compliance.
• Uphold merchandising and presentation standards, drive loyalty programs and optimized product presentation.
• Lead training initiatives and develop growth plans with team members and leaders.
• Oversee staffing plans with Store Manager and manage payroll and scheduling to meet budget and traffic needs.
• Hire and build strong teams, owning Captain (Supervisor) hiring decisions and guiding interviews.
• Ensure safety, policies, and SOPs are followed and uphold a respectful store environment.
