PetSmart is seeking a Retail Operations Manager to drive operational excellence across merchandising, inventory, pet care, and store procedures. You will lead teams, oversee opening/closing, and ensure safety and a strong customer experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

The role demands proven leadership, strong communication, and the ability to manage busy store operations while meeting business goals and upholding PetSmart's standards.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of retail leadership or experience in a customer-focused environment.
• Full-time availability required, flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in maintaining a visually appealing store layout.

Responsibilities

• Leads recruitment, interviewing, and coaching decisions.
• Supports associate development, onboarding, reviews, labor management, and coaching for accountability.
• Oversees store healthcare, pet care maintenance, inventory and pricing processes.
• Drives store P&L targets through controlling expenses and analyzing trends.
• Manages staffing coverage for pivotal store activities and ensures safety and cleanliness.
