Job summary

PetSmart Store Support Group, Inc. is seeking a Retail Operations Manager to drive in-store performance and operational excellence. You will lead merchandising, inventory, pet care operations, and daily store openings/closings while guiding and developing associates to deliver outstanding customer experiences.

You will partner with store leadership to maintain safety, accuracy, and a high standard of cleanliness, while managing labor and financial outcomes to achieve company goals.

Qualifications

• Experience leading retail teams and coordinating staffing across a store.
• Ability to coach, onboard, and develop associates for performance.
• Strong understanding of store operations, inventory, pricing, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Participates in recruiting, interviewing, and coaching.
• Facilitates associate experience, onboarding, reviews, labor management, and mentoring.
• Coordinate staffing coverage for critical store processes.
• Oversee proper execution of inventory management, pricing, and replenishment.
• Lead and coach teams to ensure pets in care are safe and healthy.
• Communicate priorities and store expectations clearly to staff.
• Recognize and celebrate associate engagement and performance.
• Ensure healthcare and welfare standards for store-owned animals are maintained.
